The most solid evidence of the quality of this orchestra is however the long-lasting co-operation with the international violin phenomenon Anne-Sophie Mutter. With her as soloist, the recordings at Deutsche Grammophon, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and the violin concerts of Bach and Sofia Gubaildolina, were all met with praise from all across Europe.
TrondheimSolistene is an important communicator of Norwegian music. The orchestra has commissioned and performed in premières on a number of works, and they always bring Norwegian music along on their tours. Among the commissioned works are two by composers from Trondheim: the cello concert Dopo by Ståle Kleiberg and the piece for string orchestra Vandana by Terje Bjørklund.
The orchestra has not gone about unnoticed, and is recognized both nationally and internationally, due to their profound artistic quality, combined with youthful freshness and a vibrant, enthusiastic play.
