New Ultima director
Lars Petter Hagen is the new director of Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival. The Ultima board has hired Lars Petter Hagen as artistic director for the festival for four years, starting 15 January 2012. He replaces Luca Francesconi, who chose to leave the position earlier this year.
- We have had a good process with good candidates, and we find Hagen the best suited to manage the Ultima festival from now on, chairwoman Ingrid Røynesdal of the Ultima board comments.
Hagen will have the administrative responsibilities for the festival, in addition to the artistic programming.
As a consequence of the changing of leadership models, Sverre Gunnar Haga and the Ultima board have agreed that he will resign from his posision as director from 1 November 2011.
