The third and final evening of Ultima’s genre-busting evenings at the National Jazz Scene.
Per Oddvar Johansen plays electronics, vibraphone, guitar, fiddle, musical saw, and piano, though his main instrument is the drums. In 2009 he released Ferme solus – This is my music! , from which he will play pieces this evening. Guri Egge provides the vocal part of Luciano Berio’s Sequenza series. Egge is a seasoned soprano who made her debut with pi anist Robert Levin in 1974. MoHa! is a young band that plays relatively loud music inspired by a large number of sources. Morten J Olsen (drums) and Anders Hana (guitar, keyboard) complement and confront each other with tightly synchronised riffs with seemingly unattainable mathematical precision.
