A relaxed atmosphere and comfy chairs are keywords for the first of four electroacoustic lounges. The theme is nature and electronics.
Composer and percussionist Kjell Samkopf’s unique ‘sono- graphic’ works are the main focus this evening. The concert also serves as a release party for his new CD Burragorangian Stones.
The works presented:
Mårådalen Walk (1993), Taormina Sketches (2002) and Burra- gorangian Stones (2003).
The latter of these came about while Samkopf attended an art seminar in New South Wales, Australia in 2003, and consists of his re- cordings of the Burrago- rang landscape. Before and after the concert there will be an opportunity to hear Mårådalen Fragments, a work for five loops from 1993.
Traditional Norwegian fare such as berries, ground coffee, cured meats, grilled mushrooms (John Cage was a mushroom specialist) and blackcurrant toddy will be served.
The lounge opens at 18.00, conversations between Sampopf and Flø from 19.00
