Family concert as part of the exhibition ‘Musicmachines’. With Bjarne Kvinnsland and Jon Halvor Bjørnseth
For the third year in a row, Drivhuset runs a composing workshop concert at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology, in the exhibition entitled Music Machines. Here, stories about the relationship between music and technology during the past two centuries will be played out. The exhibition features state-of-the-art music boxes, rare jukeboxes, and Norway’s first sound recording. Musicians and composers Bjarne Kvinnsland and Jon Halvor Bjørnseth will be showing groups of children how to create and perform their own music and how to play around with sounds by moving them between different instruments and technologies. The group work will be followed by a concert at which the audience will hear the results of the young musicians’ and composers’ experiments.
