Rooms with excessive reverberation have inspired the works of Danish composer Jexper Holmen (b. 1971).

NB! Two conserts: one at 9.00pm and one at 10.00om

This evening’s premiere performance is written for alto saxophone and twelve KORG monotrons – analogue synthesizers that produce only one tone at a time. There will also be solo pieces for the highest- and lowest-pitched instruments in the orchestra. Flutist Chrissy Dimitriou , and Håkon Thelin will give a first performance of Magnar Åm’s On Reflection for solo double bass. The composer has close ties to the mausoleum. Poems from Monica Aasprong’s Soldatmarkedet (Soldiers’ Market) will accompany the music. This evening the mausoleum’s twenty-second reverb time will constitute a ‘default setting’ for each individual sound in the recital.
