A genre-exploding cultural-night program full of surprises!
Frode Haltli and Rolf-Erik Nystrøm are the musical hosts of this festival within the festival. Leading Spanish chamber ensemble Trío Arbós will perform Piano Trio No. 2 by the Jewish-German-Argentine composer Mauricio Kagel. Ensemble Modern’s young star trumpet player Sava Stoianov will perform Luciano Berio’s Sequenza X for trumpet and piano resonance. Works will also be performed by the Norwegian fiddle phenomenon Gjermund Larsen and musical hosts Haltli and Nystrøm. Performers from the experimental pop community associated with the Oslo-based micro entity Metronomicon will perform. Percussionist Jon Platou Selvig will appear under the name of Easy, followed by a set from Metronomicon’s head honcho Jørgen Sissyfus Skjulstad and his forever-changing solo orchestra Centre Of The Universe.
