The last concert in the “noon-series” is played in Oslo Cathedral with the famous organist Kåre Nordstoga and trumpet talent Sava Stoianov.

The celebrated Bulgarian trumpet player Sava Stoianov, a member of Ensemble Modern, joins organ player Kåre Nordstoga at lunchtime in Oslo Cathedral. It is not known when or where composer Bartolomé de Selma y Salaverde was born or where he died. But the music he left behind from the early 17th century is exuberant and virtuosic. Giacinto Scelsi spent most of his life in relative anonymity, and was not recognised as a master in composing music with an abundance of minute effects until a year before he died, in 1988. Herbert Grassl teaches at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. For this concert he has revised his piece Spielräume into a new version for trumpet and organ.
