SPUNK goes out into the public space in search of things that cost nothing and of people who are interested in contributing to the installation entitled NEST, which will become a kind of concert stage.

The improvisation quartet SPUNK, formed in 1995, comprises Maja Solveig Kjelstrup Ratkje, Hild Sofie Tafjord, Lene Grenager and Kristin Andersen, all of them established performers in their own right.

The name of the group is derived from one of Astrid Lindgren’s stories, where Pippi Longstocking invents a new word, a good word that no one else bothered to invent before. The story goes on to tell how Pippi, Tommy and Annika go about trying to find this ‘spunk’.
