We have launched our new member programme ultiMATE with exclusive discounts and benefits, and more!
Discover nature’s shapes and sounds in the heart of the city – and turn them into art and music!
Join us for a creative family workshop where, through drawing, sound, and imagination, we explore forms and textures at Tigerplassen, right in front of Oslo Central Station.
When architecture is designed and built, it has to respond to nature – the ground, the trees, the light, and the weather. In this workshop, we turn that around: we let nature lead the way first, and see what ideas might grow from there! We will create texture images and drawings, which imaginative musicians will then interpret as musical scores – right there on the spot.
We meet at the Ultima Pavilion in front of Østbanehallen, built by the Oslo School of Architecture and Design in collaboration with the Oslo Architecture Triennale, Ultima, and the Norwegian Academy of Music. Even in the most urban part of Oslo, we can find nature – in the spirit of the Oslo Architecture Triennale’s timely motto: “What if nature comes first?”
The workshop is part of Barnas Ultima-dager (BUD) – the festival’s own programme for its youngest audience (but adults are more than welcome too)! At BUD, you can discover contemporary music and exciting new sounds through concerts, performances and workshops.
