An ambient club evening at Trekanten unfolds in low light and resonant air.
NEXCYIA (Adam Dove) weaves grainy tapestries of noise and found sound—fragments of home videos and clandestine field recordings processed through granular synthesis.
NEXCYIA's work explores otherness and belonging, examining hierarchical divisions between whiteness and blackness and the power dynamics they reveal. Inspired by the idea that fear acts as a sound filter obscuring our shared humanity, he challenges fixed perspectives, creating pieces that feel both immediate and elusive.
Percussionist Håkon Stene, renowned for his razor-sharp listening, a passion for timbre, and multi-genre collaborations —with a.o. Pantha du Prince, asamisimasa and Laurence —teams up with Bendik Hovik Kjeldsberg (Bendik HK). From pure synth and skate-inspired sound sculptures to scored theatre, dance and film works, Bendik HK moves fluidly through ambient drift, driving techno and melodic interludes, with performances ranging from Berghain to MUTEK.
Together they dive into intricate rhythmic structures and expansive electroacoustic textures, blending experimental techno and instrumental performance. Drawing on ambient, improvisation, 1990s breakbeats and German minimal techno, their genre-bending vision promises both poetry and a raw, unfiltered club set.
