DRAGONBLOOD is a threshold. A fever dream. When you leave, you won’t be the same.

Welcome to DRAGONBLOOD—a genre-bending, interdisciplinary festival in a game-inspired fantasy realm, where dragons, fairies, magicians and guest artists from around the world guide you on an immersive emotional quest. 🕯️🪞

Blending club culture, RPGs, opera, pop concerts, live fortune-telling and ancient tales, DRAGONBLOOD offers sword fights, digital ballads, magic potions, fallen angels—and a motivational Dragon that has been summoned.

The collective ONLY SLIME, founded by Tobi Pfeil and Claudia Cox, is currently in residence at Det Norske Teatret, Scene 3. Ultima has given them free rein to programme their own festival-within-a-festival, running from 13 to 20 September.

Joining them are performers as part of a hand-picked line-up: NEKO3 (DK), Team Rolfes (US), Kevin Peter He (CN), DJ Trick (US), Dragongirl (NO), Frida Marida (LBN), and actors from the theatre—all of whom will step into DRAGONBLOOD’s digital fantasy world at different times throughout the week. 🧝‍♀️🌿🔮🐺👁️🌘

Artist talk: ONLY SLIME and Team Rolfes

Det Norske Teatret and ONLY SLIME invite you to an artist talk and mingle with Team Rolfes (US), the New York–based pioneers of virtual performance, design and direction. They visit Norway for the very first time as part of ONLY SLIME’s fictional fantasy festival DRAGONBLOOD (13–20 September, Det Norske Teatret).

Team Rolfes are known for their visceral mix of VR puppetry, live motion capture, real-time club theatre and stage spectacle. They have collaborated with artists such as Lady Gaga, Arca, Danny L Harle, Denzel Curry and BLACKPINK, as well as institutions including MoMA, Berlin Atonal and Unsound Festival. Their work fuses the raw energy of club performance with cutting-edge technology, creating surreal digital worlds in real time – playful, boundary-breaking and spectacular.

At Scene 3, the audience will gain insight into their process, hear about their collaborations and be inspired by how Team Rolfes craft their digital stage universes, blending impulses from art institutions and underground club culture alike. The talk is moderated by the Oslo-based performance duo ONLY SLIME.
