Fantasmagoria #3

A musical puppet theatre performance for children

Monday 15 September, at 10:00–10:30
20–300 kr

Now begins the journey into the world of imagination,
the farthest reaches of reality –
and what exists in this world beneath?
Wondrous oddities and counterfeit marvels.

In Fantasmagoria, Theater Corpus invites the audience into an enchanting universe inspired by 19th-century illusion theatre and puppetry. The performance shifts between short, imaginative tableaux blending music and poetry, where puppets are brought to life through visual tricks, newly composed music by Ellen Ugelvik, and playful poems by Aina Villanger. Together, they create a cabaret filled with shadow images, small mysteries, and a grand piano that transforms into an entire orchestra.

What happens when a ballet-dancing captain, chess-playing Siamese twins, and a lovesick countertenor all appear on the same stage? You get a magical encounter with figures that seem almost alive – and slightly out of this world.

A dreamy and imaginative performance for children and adults, curious eyes and listening ears.

The concert is part of Barnas Ultima-dager (BUD)– the festival’s own programme for its youngest audience (but adults are more than welcome too)! At BUD, you can discover contemporary music and exciting new sounds through concerts, performances and workshops.
