New Head of Production at Ultima

Ultima’s fabulous Head of Production, Christel Forsberg, who has been with us since 2019, is taking up a new position at Hankø Hotel and Spa in the new year.

We are delighted to announce and bid a warm welcome to Ultima Festival’s hew Head of Production – Solveig Skår!

Solveig, who describes herself as ‘a relatively sorted girl from the west of Norway who is passionate about music and great people who make art we can enjoy’, starts work with us on 1 February 2024.

In her new job at Ultima, she’s looking forward to getting to know the ins and outs of the festival better, get cracking on current and new productions, and do all she can so that everyone involved will have the best possible framework for presenting their work to audiences.

Solveig has a diverse background with various organisations, project leadership and arts production, and for the past six years she has been working as a producer at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She has held many roles at Oslo’s premier jazz venue Nasjonal Jazzscene, and a short but sweet spell as a radio producer. She is also a board member at nyMusikk and the Jazz Centre for East Norway.
