Ultima’s annual Remake project encourages young people to engage with contemporary music in practical ways, by creating a project inspired by a particular work from the Ultima festival programme.

This year, students aged 16-19 of art, design and architecture at Oslo’s Elvebakken high school (have created their own project in response to Vannverk by Marianne Stranger, an installation at a swimming pool highlighting the poetry and politics water.

Over the summer, Stranger has conducted five workshops at the school, and a new piece has emerged involving their newly learned skills with water acoustics and graphic scores.

Remake is part of the Replay Cultural Heritage programme of the ULYSSES Network
